The artist’s task is to save the soul of mankind; and anything less is a dithering while Rome burns. Because of the artists, who are self-selected, for being able to journey into the Other, if the artists cannot find the way, then the way cannot be found.

My painting practice, which has now spanned over three decades, and the work that emerges from my experimentations comes from somewhere that only abstract can truly explain. I’m still learning what makes abstract a great genre for someone like me – emotional in temperament and driven by unseen things like love, fear, passion; all the things that keep us alive, on the inside!
I love to work fast and on the edge, relying solely on my intuition for colour and texture to work original pieces that are unpredictable and unrepeatable.
I hope to be sharing more of my painting practice here in video, straight from my studio! Tune in for more inspiration or visit my website to purchase original and printed art straight from me, the artist!

The ineffable.

Its the genre that gives most of the agency to the mind of the viewer. I love that. Everyone sees something different and unique.

I’m still learning what makes abstract a great genre for someone like me; highly sensitive, emotional and driven by unseen things – like Love, Fear and Passion – all the things that keep us alive, on the inside!

Colour is the language of Emotion. Line is the language of Intent.
I am inspired by earth-based beauty and science of the small things and interactions and contracts of life in the modern world in relation to the ancient. I aim to blend the two.

Future history must be written only now. The edge is the point of no return and spontaneous insight. Knowing. That’s how we evolve. By mutation and experimenting.
